Classes Offered

Ages 5-7

Our youngest students meet two mornings a week in a highly collaborative environment where they study cultures and art from around the globe. Our youngest students begin to foster a life-long journey of introspection and critical thinking while they explore areas of their own interests along with a fully comprehensive curriculum designed to engage the whole child with the world around them through in-depth science, social studies and projects based on the interests of the learners and the classroom community as a whole.

Our earliest learners begin to exercise the skills that will be needed to soak up all that homeschool life has to offer, in addition to life-skills that will always be in need. From time management to organization, from learning how to gather information and how to connect with a world that seems to grow more everyday, our 5-7age students begin to work as a team to build one another up while stretching new mental muscles every time we gather.

Ages 8-10

Vind I Traden Academy 8-10 year olds are full of wonder and self-determination. Our passionate staff is ready to lead students on their journey of intrinsic learning which will stay with them long after they leave our grounds. These learners can expect to work together as a classroom community on real-world problems, lessons from ancient civilizations, the arts, world cultures and hands-on STEM explorations.

In addition to their regular curriculum, students will find a fire within to research, study and bring to life, passions of their own on long-term passion projects over the course of their academic year.

This academic window is pure magic for higher-level thinking and creating inquisitive thinkers and doers. At Vind I Traden the individual child is always at the forefront of their own learning.

Our 8-10 year olds meet two afternoons per week.

Ages 11-13

The upper-level students at Vind I Traden meet two mornings per week and are well on their way to being life-long learners. The joy of following one’s own interests as well as plenty of time to hang out with friends is invaluable.

Our 11-13 year olds spend much of their time engaged in collaborative studies focused on world cultures, social studies, current events, the arts and as always, plenty of STEM.

These students take charge of their own learning with academically focused passion projects in addition to their collaborative community work.

Upper-Level Extended Afternoons

Our optional extended afternoons for students age 11-13 provides ample time for these adolescents to discuss social and emotional aspects of their ever-changing lives with responsible faculty always as a guide.

Extended Days include faculty monitored study hall periods, clubs and games, cooking, sewing, machine work, book clubs and more. These afternoons together with good friends, build life-long connections and safe spaces for friendships to thrive.

“Learning is not only tied to reading thick old books, writing serious academic essays, and advancing in mathematics. Today, it’s just as critical to be innovative, to collaborate, and to imagine.”
